Beginning Tuesday, April 23, the Satna Cruz Water Department’s Newell Creek Pipeline project will shift to active construction within the roadway on Graham Hill Road. Drivers should expect weekday traffic delays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., with wait times of up to five minutes.
This week’s work includes pavement grinding on Tuesday, followed by pipeline installation starting Wednesday. Construction will begin just south of Summit Avenue and continue south toward Lockewood Lane. Orange construction fencing has been installed to protect sensitive habitat areas.
The project will relocate the Newell Creek Pipeline from Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park to beneath Graham Hill Road to ensure continued reliability of this critical water supply pipeline. The full project extends from East Zayante Road in Felton to Henry Cowell Drive and is expected to take approximately two years.
