Boulder Creek, Calif.

Team Fire 5, a group of 9 individuals ages 18 to 26 serving with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC), is working with Easterseals Camp Harmon from February 19th to April 1st, 2021.

Team Fire Five is aiding EasterSeals Camp Harmon with their mission to provide exceptional services, education, outreach, and advocacy so that people living with autism and other disabilities can live, learn, work and play in our communities. NCCC was called in to assist with the Restore Camp Harmon Project. Our team will be focusing on recovery, maintenance, and mitigation. We will work to restore landscaping, pathways, vegetation, and make sure that roofs and buildings are safe from any future fires.

Both The San Lorenzo Valley Women’s Club and Fire 5 are continuing to form alliances with organizations in Boulder Creek and the larger Santa Cruz County to influence environmental preservation and fire mitigation over the long-term. An outside organization Fire 5 is also working with the Valley Women’s Club SLV Native Habitat Restoration Program, the San Lorenzo Valley Water District, and the Friends of the Felton Library.
