Covid 19 Preparedness

During this time, it’s very, very important to take care of yourself. At the beginning of this pandemic, I went from disbelief to fear pretty quickly, and I realized that fear was going to depress my immune system and make me more susceptible to anything going around. I had to tell myself that social distancing and taking extra measures to sanitize is going to be the new normal right now. I started to look at others suspiciously, however, which is not healthy either; so I have been working on mentally changing that around to I’m doing this out of love for others and for their safety too. It’s  time  to be more aware, but realize you are not going to be perfect at it, sanitize and wash your hands often, but it’s not healthy either to become obsessive over it. Do what you can, but don’t let it take over your life.

Now, here are steps you can take to create a healthy terrain in your body to help offset any virus that wants to take hold of you. Minerals are really important for the immune system, especially zinc. When you have enough zinc in your tissues, it helps prevent your cell’s RNA from replicating the virus. Selenium is also just as important in protection against viruses. Vitamin D is very important too. In fact, one of the reasons the flu is more prevalent in the winter than any other time is that we are lower in D. Vitamin A is antiviral and supports our mucus membranes. Vitamin C is absolutely imperative at this time. One of the reasons this virus has been so prevalent in smokers, especially male smokers from Italy, is that smoking depletes your vitamin C stores due to oxidative damage, and they have a gene that sets them up for low C levels in the first place.

Elderberry is antiviral. The sugar in these berries makes your cell membranes inhospitable for viruses in the first place so they cannot land and replicate. Andrographis is an extremely potent antiviral herb. Garlic, ginger, cayenne, oregano, sage, licorice, astragalus, and reishi all are immune-enhancing herbs. Cook with them, make teas with them. We also have a formula called the Wellness formula that contains these herbs, as well as vitamins and minerals important for immune system support. In addition, it’s a good idea to have citrus liberally right now and stay away from refined sugars. I make this crazy concoction with fresh squeezed lime, honey, oregano oil, and cayenne.

Make sure to have throat and nasal sprays on hand, as those are the places that the virus likes to enter through. Make sure to gargle with salt water if you feel a sensation in your throat. Keep those areas moist and hydrated by drinking warm teas often. Use a neti pot to wash anything out of your sinuses. If you feel a fever come on, take the homeopathic formula right away called aconitium 30C. If your lungs are compromised in general, it’s important to take a lung formula. I recommend mushroom lung formulas. Also NAC is (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) a great antioxidant for the lungs, and quercetin with bromelain are two great antioxidants specificly for the lungs. We also have herbal lung formulas, one of my favorites that works well is Resper-Ease from  the Wild Roots brand. Last but not least is our Wild Root’s brand mushroom immune formula. I absolutely love this mushroom formula that supports your first line of defense, your killer T cells. Please also pick up zinc lozenges, as these have been shown to saturate your mucus membranes with zinc, and probiotics are important to take at this time for immune system and lung support. Also get sun before 10 AM as this is the time shown to enhance the most vitamin D production in the body.

Please call with questions or concerns, and make sure to do research yourself, and most important, implement it in your life. Make your body a place that germs, viruses, and bacteria don’t have a chance!
