Spring Plant Sale Mother’s Day Weekend, May 11-12th, 2019
Come to the farm to pick up a little Camp Joy for your garden. The farmers will be selling seed starts of seasonally appropriate veggies, herbs, and flowers for this area. Camp Joy grows their own starts for their garden farm in Boulder Creek every year and offer the extras for sale to the community. These are not your ordinary nursery plants – your garden will notice the difference! A casual Mother’s Day potluck will be an option on Sunday if you want to join the farmers to celebrate in the garden. Since 1971 we have been teaching ourselves and others how to live more sustainable lives through gardening, animal husbandry, food preservation, and other skills of simple living. Over the years we have offered opportunities to learn by working with us hands on in the garden, as well as held classes on a variety of topics, for children and adults. The fruits, flowers and vegetables of our labor, in the past & presently, are sold to people locally in the Santa Cruz Mountains through the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program to local stores and restaurants and at our annual events. We also joyfully arrange flowers for weddings and other special events. It is our hope to share some of what we have learned over the last 30 years of living close to the land, to offer seasonal glimpses of what is happening in the garden, and to help connect members of the Camp Joy community.
