The County of Santa Cruz will convene two virtual town halls to introduce the Recovery
Permit Center and to discuss the permitting process for rebuilding after the 2020 CZU
Complex fires.
Representatives of the Recovery Permit Center will describe the services that are
available to ease, streamline, and assist property owners in obtaining permits and will
explain how property owners can access that assistance. Representatives from burn area
fire departments and the State Office of Emergency Services have been invited to
participate as well. Permitting staff will remain on line after the meeting to answer
questions as needed.

Both meetings will present the same basic information, although the February 11th
meeting will additionally focus on the coastal zone. The meetings will be recorded and
