Candi Lee Fragassi and Josh Kunkel: Mountain Spirit
Candi Lee Fragassi and Josh Kunkel are the proud owners of Mountain Spirit in Felton, that wonderful store right on the corner—filled with beautiful crystals and all things magical to stir our souls. Candi is the smiling face behind the counter who always has a kind word for everyone and lifts your spirit just by being in her presence. Josh is quiet and behind the scenes most of the time, but no less magical. They have been married for twenty years and are a truly inspiring couple
Candi’s love of stones started when she was eight years old and her grandma handed her her first crystal in Arkansas. Arkansas is filled with crystals, and Candi was soon off gathering stones in the Ozark mountains. She has been gathering them from all over ever since. She learned about all the wonderful properties of the stones and how they can help us. Over the years, people have shared their stories of healings with Candi. She also has learned the wisdom to know how to work with the crystals.
The mission of Mountain Spirit is to help connect people to source in whatever way they believe. Candi is there for the seekers who are on a spiritual path, and Mountain Spirit carries the tools to help guide people on their journey.
One day Candi and Josh were driving by Valley Churches and saw the line of people seeking aid. This touched them, and made them want to help. They put a blue can in the store for donations, but they wanted to do more. So they started Gratitude Wednesday. Every first Wednesday of the month 10% of the profits go to help organizations that are helping others. Over the years Candi and Josh have helped many others. They have given to Save Our Shores, The Art of Yoga which helps at-risk young girls, the Santa Cruz Homeless Shelter, Santa Cruz Animal Shelter, Mountain Community Resources, the Felton Fire Department, Valley Churches United Missions, and others.
Josh is also a musician and sound man who brings joy to others through his gifts. He is also a very gifted astrologer who is quiet and humble. But now I am going to let the secret out… he is our very own Mr. Astrology!
