Imagine if the Santa Cruz Mountains Could Speak….

California State Parks Backpacking Adventures Skyline to the Sea Registration Open for Summer 2019

Who better to lead you through our parks than California State
Park professionals? Travel from spectacular ridgelines, through old
growth redwood forests, to sandy shores with our knowledgeable
team of backcountry naturalists. We will share the secrets of this
precious wilderness and give you a window into the lives of the
people who lived here for thousands of years.
Due to the incredible popularity of our June Skyline to the Sea trip,
an additional three night, four day Skyline to the Sea trip has been
added in August. Sign up now while there’s still availability and
hike 33 miles of spectacular ridgelines, old-growth redwood forests,
and sandy shores with our knowledgeable team of backcountry naturalists. Native plant teas, trail desserts, ranger talks, skills, demonstrations, campfire stories, and jokes are added bonuses! This program is truly unique, the only such program led by California State Park staff. Participation is open to adults 18 and over and children ages 13 to 17 accompanied by a parent or guardian. Low cost flights available to San Jose Airport (SJC) for those travelling from a distance. Events made possible
by Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks, Waddell Creek Association,
Mountain Parks Foundation, Sempervirens Fund, Portola and Castle Rock Foundation, and California State Parks.
