It was an intimate gathering at Boulder Creek’s delightful new art collective “The Hive” for the reveal and presentation of Kathleen’s gorgeous original watercolor of Redtail Hawk, Titan to his owner, Kevin Foster. During the Friday ArtWalk, community gathered with anticipation, having heard of this beautiful piece. Kathleen talked briefly about how she was so inspired by the beauty and grace of this special bird that she just “had to paint him”! She presented Kevin Foster with a signed giclee print much to his surprise and honor. Signed and numbered giclee prints in two sizes in addition to greeting cards are available for purchase at The Hive.
Kathleen has been painting in watercolors since 1989 when she “fell in love with the first brush stroke”. Her varied subjects include the Missions of California, Monterey Bay fishing boats and Carousel horses. Her “Boulder Creek in the Snow” has proven to be a local favorite and consistently sells out.
