There is a story and a lesson for all of us playing out in the sky this month. Of particular concern is the way we rightfully take up space and advocate for our own needs versus the way we may blindly agree with folks we are in some type of relationship with (business, romance, friendship) just to keep the peace. Or perhaps our habit to start fights in those same relationships is a way to vent frustration about something else, bottling up our real feelings and picking fights about the weather, or a misplaced dish in the sink. The cosmic assignment is honesty, bravery, and ultimately true intimacy…even if that intimacy is the acknowledgement that it is time to let go and move on. Our society has placed many assumptive roles on us, and many times we trudge along even though they are inauthentic or ill fitting. Much passive aggression, depression, and unhealthy compromise may come of that, because we aren’t stepping into the person we know we are meant to be, or the relationships we know we deserve, or fighting for the relationships we have! But be careful, this is a tricky business and is not an invitation to be cruel or immature. Take a deep breath, ask for what you need, be willing to confront your close partners about issues that need to be tended to. This is about maturing in the dynamic between ourselves and others. We can choose both.

On Oct 23 at 9:21am the Sun enters dark and mysterious Scorpio, heralding magic, pumpkin lanterns and things that go bump in the night. Our Full Moon at 5° Taurus falls on Oct 28 at 1:24pm, illuminating places we might find comfort and solace while the world gets spooky.
Planetaries: Mercury, the planet of communication, enters fair and charming Libra on Oct 4.
Our lady of beauty and prosperity, Venus, enters the Virgo on Oct 8, asking us to spend some time upgrading what makes us feel comfortable and beautiful. How can we make it better?
The intense mirror of Truth, Pluto, goes direct at 27° Capricorn on Oct 10. Time to put the structures we are keeping back in order. What made the cut? Fiery Mars enters watery Scorpio on Oct 11, but he is quite comfortable there. Things are about to get steamy. Mercury merges with Sun (Cazimi) at 26° Libra on Oct 19th bringing us new messages from the Source, just before he enters Scorpio on Oct 21st. Well, damn. Pardon my language, but this is not a comfortable month for you. There is some kind of war playing out on your nice carpet and you wish it would find some manners. Well, it’s important. And it’s your battle, too. No more agreeing to avoid conflict. No more saying what you think someone else wants you to say. Get quiet and listen to your deep inner voice, your dreams, your meditations. Listen deeply to your intuition and say THE TRUTH. Even if it’s tacky. New Moon: A portal opens…to stand up for yourself and recognize your leadership skills. We need fair leaders. A portal also opens to learn to take up an appropriate amount of space in your trusted relationships. Full Moon: Difficult truths are illuminated. Face them, and liberate your self worth.
Scorpio:
“The Tea” is hot this month, and while you may enjoy watching folks unable to hide from the truth, choose kindness. Perform your mission. Be the beacon of truth and the friend that isn’t afraid to talk about or face the hard stuff. Hold folks’ hands in the darkness. Hold up the light that you know is the true secret of darkness. This is what you are made for. Show them their monsters are defeatable, or better yet…are allies. Also, yay Halloween! New Moon: A portal opens…well…for you a portal is always open. This one however, is extremely powerful. Listen to your dreams, trust your intuition…what do you want most in this life? What do you dream of accomplishing? A portal is open to grab the jewel from the Otherworld that will hold the power to manifest it. Full Moon: Spend time with your closest people. Love them. Enjoy them.
Sagittarius:
It may feel like it is time to pay the Piper in the health department. You have a tendency to go big, live large, take risks. Usually this works out pretty well for you, but there are always consequences. It is time to review where you need to make adjustments in your daily life and live within your means. Ignore this assignment at your own risk. Or make the adjustments you need to make and be free to do what you want to do. For instance, perhaps you need to give up a certain food or dietary habit in order to have the health and energy to play. Capricorn:
October 10th brings love to the forefront. Take your date to see something new to both of you, perhaps a trip to a new location. Look for ways you can make this relationship even better.
Oct 12 asks for a brave and honest assessment of your networking groups. Is your team in line with your vision? Be bold. Oct 22 uncovers the information you need to pursue your long term goals and Oct 23rd gives you extra energy to fuel this mission. New Moon: A portal opens… to claim your rightful place in your career. Know your worth, play fair, use charm in communications, and claim it. Full Moon: Go play. Express yourself, have fun. Seek what delights you.
Aquarius:
Oct 1 has your focus on how to bring a more generous and optimistic spirit to your home life, but it will be important to let your loved ones express their own viewpoints. Everyone needs a voice in the remodel. It may be challenging, but it will develop trust and love. Oct 16 shines a light on a career opportunity. Oct 30/31 reveals the path to perfecting intimacy and harmonious alignment. New Moon: A portal opens… to far away places. Is it school? Travel? Philosophy? Buy the ticket. Full Moon: The world has said sharp or scary things. Cuddle with your loved ones at home, and enjoy the comforts of a safe space. Build a sanctuary.
Pisces:
Oct 1 – it may feel like your thoughts are hard to pull together at the moment, and you feel quieter than usual. However, a great boon is available to you this day, ask a trusted friend for help. The friend has the key for showing you what systems you need to make a dream real. Oct 21 brings love, tell them how you feel. If words escape you, find another way. The month starts off with you feeling like the King or Queen of your castle. Soak up the comfort. On the 8th it’s time to start taking a practical look at your creativity. What skills do you need to develop, what practice do you need to put in, to get your art out into the world? And how can you improve your romantic game, if you are so inspired? The 8th-12th may feel like a creative block, but it will pass.
New Moon: A portal opens…to be certain it is your dream you are working for every day. Perhaps commit to that artistic mastery, when is the last time you picked up your tool of creativity? Full Moon: Your ability to be comfortable and shine tonight will help you process some of the challenging messages your loved ones are giving you. It’s important stuff, and perhaps sensuality is a good mediator. That can even look like preparing a loving meal for a difficult conversation.
Gemini:
This month brings poetry from your lips and your powers of charm will be at full height. Write it down, the Muse is upon you. Make the art. Sing the songs. Fill your senses with museums and live music shows, or the Art of Nature. Meanwhile, some folks could really use your diplomatic charm while they navigate some difficult tension in their relationships. You can be that friend. New Moon: A portal opens…to bring new beauty into the world, to birth a new idea, or to birth a new person…be sure that’s what you want or take precautions. Full Moon: Dream big, let Nature be your spirit guide. And ask the question…what do I really need to know about my daily habits and responsibilities?
Cancer:
Oct 4 brings you keen insights that can help folks struggling with this ” Me vs Us” dynamic, your counsel is sought. Oct 9-11 may have you hypercritical of love and beauty, but let go of what mainstream schools of thought put on us, and find the perfection of love and beauty that lives inside you, in your own thoughts. Oct 21-24 may bring a heavy mood, process what you need to. The 25th brings peace and a sense of ease. The 29th brings a surprise from friends. Words come easy to you this month. Spend the first couple of weeks sharing ideas with friends, writing songs and stories, and going to karaoke. The middle of the month heats up as you are asked to participate in the cosmic lesson of “Me vs Us (or Them)” in the realms of ideas, thoughts, and education. Communication is key, so use your roar for good. New Moon: A portal opens…to roar for justice, to speak the truth, and set things right. Full Moon: A surprise opportunity and audience appears. Though you may find the subject matter to be an exposé of ancestral or family issues.
Virgo:
Wit is on your side, charm is on your side. In fact, starting on the 8th, ask for what you want. Don’t be shy, claim it! Oct 19 brings important insight into your finances and resources which lead to improved self-confidence. Pay attention! New Moon: A portal opens…to reclaim your power, to heal your self-confidence, and allow abundance into your life. You deserve it. Full Moon: Virgo is also known as the sign of the Priestess.
