Three mares live on the redwood-studded hillside pasture behind the gardens, which feature drought tolerant plants, fruit trees, and roses. An attractive rock river serves as effective storm drainage. Visit the gorgeous glass-roofed conservatory that houses orchids and a variety of tropical plants.
