One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest Opens March 13th at Park Hall, Ben Lomond

MCT is proud to present One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, by Dale Wasserman based on the novel by Ken Kesey.

Boisterous, ribald and ultimately shattering, this is the unforgettable story of a mental hospital and its inhabitants. In a world where sanity means conformity and following the rules is the only way to survive, One Flew Over tCuckoo’s Nest is a powerful exploration of both the beauty and the danger of being your own unique self.

MCT’s production features some of Santa Cruz’s favorite performers, including Kip Allert, Avondina Willis, Jennifer Galvin, Jackson Wolffe, Jacob Kofler, Michael LaMère, Steven Capasso, Scott Kravitz, Stephen Phillipps, Shireen Doyle, Gino Danna, Jocelyn Mcmahon-Babalis, August Materazzi, Adrian Miller, Peter Gelblum, Donna Johansen, and Tom Goldrup.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm from March 13 through April 5.  Ben Lomond’s historic Park Hall, 9400 Mill Street is the venue.  Tickets are $20 general and $17 for students and seniors.  Community Night, when all tickets are two for $20, is Saturday, March 14.

There will be a champagne reception after the performance on opening night, March 13 and a talkback with the director and cast after the performance on Sunday, March 22.  Tickets can be purchased at mctshows.org and brownpapertickets.com.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company.”  Mountain Community Theater (MCT) is Santa Cruz County’s longest continuously running theater company. MCTis a member-run non-profit organization that derives its support primarily from performance proceeds, charitable donations, and royalties from its published play, “Miracle on 34th Street, the Play.”
