Our bodies were made to be very resilient, strong and adaptable to change. We are actually much tougher than we think we are. We were made to overcome trials, be it physical or mental ones to make us stronger and to bring us to a place we couldn’t have reached without having these challenges. At the time we are going through our trials, the end result may seem so out of reach and difficult to get to, that we may become blinded by the discomfort and pain that is so real, that it is easy to lose sight of the hope that we can make it through. That’s when recalling other people who have overcome mighty obstacles, or journaling about the times in our own lives where we overcame hardships can give us the hope and perseverance to make it through a difficult time. Some trials take us longer to overcome, but there is always a reason for them. I never thought I would get better from my shoulder and neck pain, it was taking years and I didn’t understand why I was in so much pain, but there was a very important reason, I needed an overhaul in my body, mind, and spirit. It was a great wakeup call. When your body is telling you something, instead of trying to suppress it with drugs, or wake it up with caffeine, we should support it with nutrition, fresh air, and movement. Our bodies are constantly in flux, and this means in a constant state of regeneration or degeneration. Our digestive system sloughs off its epithelial cells every 3 to 5 days, we have new skin cells every 40 days, our liver cells replace themselves every year, and we basically have a new body every 7 years! If we want a healthier version of us, it means nourishing ourselves with healthy foods, taking supplements and tonics, and staying away from life sucking activities like smoking, heavy drinking, and eating highly processed foods. . These all deplete your own nutrients and offset your PH. It’s also important for you to give yourself the freedom to be who you are, and to honor that in other people by thinking the best about them, it leads to a lot less stress in your life, and stress is the worst offender to healthy aging. We want to supply our bodies with nutrient dense products like medicinal mushrooms for our immune systems, and organs, nutrient rich broths, green drinks, probiotic rich products like Kombucha, miso, kefir, nutrient dense superfoods like moringa, maca, cacao, antioxidant rich products like acerola, resveratrol, and CoQ10, and healthy fats for our nervous system, brain, and metabolism like coconut, olive, and flax will help us with cellular regeneration. Also taking extra vitamin D, food based vit C, the B’s, beta carotene, zinc, and E will support our immune systems, ocular health, DNA replication, blood sugar, and mucus membranes. Our bodies love to regenerate, that’s what they were made for, let’s give it what it needs to take care of itself, and it will take care of you! Stop into the store to find out what may be best for you and I hope to see you soon!
